Cask at the brewery (Reading) on February 27, 2017. As a half pint.Clear golden color, white head. Hoppy, floral, malty, grassy, bitter taste. Grassy, floral aftertaste. Medium full, low CO2 mouthfeel, medium low bitterness. Herbal hoppy scent.

Cask at Great Expectations, Reading. Yellow-gold with a thin white head and a light effervescence. It’s a light lemony beer with a little caramel behind. Very simple, but pleasant and competently brewed. An easy-drinker for lunchtime or a sunny afternoon.

Cask at the Great Expectations, Reading. Apparently brewed on the premises - the equipment is actually in the pub, although there was no sign of any activity when I called in. The beer is a traditional ordinary bitter - straw coloured with a thin white head; malty aroma; light malty body, with a touch of grassy bitterness and some citrus. Not exciting, but an OK pint of ordinary.
