Bottle from HOTM. Pours a cloudy amber with moderate sized white head with excellent retention and lacing. Aroma of grains, bread, grass, yeast, stone fruit. Taste has a lovely smooth malt, very bready but complimented with a nice fruity tang, earthy hops. Moderate bitterness throughout. Very good.

Sample at the Roost, pours a clear gold with some sudsy white head. Nose is classic, malt and yeast, a little vegetal and floral. Flavor is better, grist and peanut skins, flowers and dried herbs. Oily finish. Tannins. Fairly long.

Draft @ Zum alten Forsthaus, Kalchreuth. Served in a Stein so apart from the thick white foam I have no clue about the appearance. Aroma of yeast, grains, protein and soap. Taste of yeast, caramel, grains, protein and earthy hops. Moderate bitterness. Low to medium carbonation. Proper.

On draught at Gourmet Haus. Pours a hazy sunset orange-golden with white head that fades to a collar and leaves slight patters. Rich malty aroma that is dough and white bread. Slight floral aspects. Flavor is floral, orange, hibiscus. Malty sweetness retains well into the taste. Really nice beer.

On the dark side of kellerbier with a transaparent mid amber pour and a quite big per style, slightest off-white head. Good enough retention and nice lacing. The aroma is mostly fruity with a mix of slightly prickly green apple and lemon peel, a soapy hint, a background of honey and slight chamomille. Quite peculiar, kind of refreshingly fruity though it suggest a very sweet beer. And it is indeed quite sweet, though nicely balanced by refreshing hoppiness. A bit of maltiness in the mouth with a honeyish, slightly biscuity profile plus fruitiness as per aroma in both mouth and finish/aftertaste. Decently dry in the finish. Quite light bodied with low to medium, delicate carbonation. A very simple and easygoing but nicely smooth/silky mouthfeel. Probably the most peculiar kellerbier i ever had and sure a hard one to describe properly; the colour, the honey/slightly biscuity malts sweetness and the delicately refreshing hoppiness might in some way remind of a polotmave, though there's no grassy/cedary saaz hoppiness. Overall a very nice one.
