Draught at Sandkerwa Festival in Bamberg. Great hops all the way. Nice, sweet malt with a touch of caramel. Nearing perfection. Bottled: 8/3/8/4/16 A deep yellow-brown color. Really brown, but not like a dark beer, a dirty brown. Something like a dark apple cider. Quite cloudy as well. Strong earthy aroma of malt, nuts, grass, and soil. A strange aroma, for sure, though not completely unpleasant. An extremely earthy flavor. Dry, malty, nutty, just a touch of sweetness, as well as a touch of sour. An extremely original and interesting flavor. A very dry, hoppy finish, long lasting. Extremely dry, bitter finish. Pretty low carbonation. What can be said about the balance? If anything, it could use a bit more malty sweetness. But excellent all around. It goes excellently with food, as well.

Wow! I don’t know keller beers until now, and i’m particularly impressed by this beer. Nice amber cloudy colour with solid frothy white head. As pouring down makes orotund. Aroma is like stock-yard in a good sense and also dry hops. In the flavour i can feel barley malts (like Belhaven beers, but not as pungent, rather sweety) and beautiful hoppiness. Nevertheless also refreshing and has unnoticable carbonation. I have never met with as versatile beer like this. I think the most convenient mark is: well-balanced. Saved to my favorites!

Draught, Eulenspiegel Beautiful floral herbal nose. Amazingly smooth floral, herbal mouth. Perfectly balanced. Med-body. This is how every Keller beer should be. Amazing.

Bottled (BB 11/2009). Courtesy of oh6gdx, tnx. Different bottle than in the photo.
Orange amber color, small white head. Malty, a bit caramelly aroma with orange-aromatic hoppyness. Flavor is fruity-malty (apricot, grains) with some late bitterness and oily mouthfeel. Unsual fruity-aromatic German brew.

Draught Small, white head over amber beer with mossy shine. Very malty, chestnuts, ripe grain, grainloft. Malty flavour, some caramel; dry, more hoppy finish, bit veggie. Very outspoken gristslickness; light to medium bodied. Palate is better than the main taste. Still, it just doesn’t live up to what the nose promises.
