On tap at The House of Brews, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is loaded with fresh coconut and coffee upfront, with a dry toasted malt base. Flavour is loaded with coconut upfront, with subdued coffee. The coconut dominates and is quite tasty. Nice stuff.

This beer is a dark brown color with a medium thin beige head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Small patches of lace. Roast malt, coffee and coconut in the nose. Medium body with a roasty coffee and malt character, and coconut in the background. The finish is coconut and espresso. Decent overall.

Can. A- Coffee, cocoa, roasty, coconut, candy bar. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, tan head. T- Almond joy, coconut, chocolate. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Really good stuff here. This is the type of beer I expect from a well known brewery. Very much candy bar like and well balanced without being too crazy sweet. Would love to try more of their stuff now.

Argh, c’mon Big Top, don’t fall for this kitchen sink beer trend. So this is well executed: its a good porter base, light roast, a little too acrid/tangy but OK. Coconut flavors are true, as is the coffee, which is well mixed with the porter. if this was just a coffee porter, I might love it. But the coconut is just too much. I sip and say "that’s neat" but then it’s just sweet, candyish, and something I don’t want to drink. Beer should be more than a few sips of "oh that’s a neat treat" and more like "this is something I want to drink". I drank about half the serving and dumped the rest. Give me a good porter, not a can of bullshit.

Tastes of coconut, some coffee, chocolates, a little malt. Medium to slightly light body with a dry finish. Pretty good.
