Sane or senseless? Harmless or harmful? Sometimes it takes awhile to get to know a stranger. Initial impressions are not always reality, so you must delve deeper. Beyond the initial floral hop aromas, malt sweetness is revealed, yet with a spicy undertone that exposes a very rye sense of humor. Take your time to get to know the Stranger. It’s strangely satisfying.

Bottle from We Brought Beer, Balham, London - golden amber coloured pour with white head. Aroma and taste is light fruity grassy and malty, some faint citrus hop, watery body, pretty bland and subdued (Note this bottle was a month over best before) but still cant imagine it being any punchier "in date" (maybe a re-rate here)

355ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden with a thin head. Nose - lemon peel and pale malt. Lemon/orange zest comes later. Taste - orange zest nicely intertwined with cereal. Palate - close to medium bodied with a subtle tangy texture and a balanced dry finish. Overall - very balanced and easy drinking. A beer of elegance that improves all the time.

12 ounce bottle. Brassy gold color. Small bubbly white head with nice lace. Fresh citrus hop aroma. Toasted grainy malt flavor upfront. Slightly spicy rye malt flavor balanced by complex hops. This is a well crafted, medium bodied pale ale that is very quaffable.

Tap at iBrew Shinbashi. Malty, lemony nose. golden with a low, fine head. Very spicy and flowery, like camomile or maybe jasmine. Decent, but too spicy. Somewhat pils-like.
