Now just Kilt and 5% ABV. Put this in my Tripel Karmeliet glass which is the closest thing I have to a thistle, the traditional glass for this not at all made up bullshit style of beer. It looks nice though; clear brown with a slowly fading inch of pale beige head. Aroma of sticky breadcrust, toast and a touch of earthiness and spices. Much drier than expected with hints of plums (hmm) as well as toast. Moderate slightly earthy bitterness at the end. I quite liked it but I'm not convinced this it's how it's intended.

355ml can into shaker. Red copper ale with a perfect head of froth atop. Laces a little. Carbonation is high. Nose is sickly sweet malt with a little smokiness. Lightly bitter and spritzy with some smoky sweetness right at the end. Somewhere between a Scottish Ale and a Scotch Ale. Easy drinking and tasty.

Draught as part of a paddle, at Keg & Brew Sydney on October 14, 2015.Hazy dark brown color, off-white bubbly head. Malty, dry, roasted, mineral taste. Medium light mouthfeel, medium bitterness that due to dry feels more. Light toasted aftertaste. Malty, a bit sun warm, biscuit scent.
