Bottled at SBWF. Black, small head. Huge earthy coffee aroma. Sweet with medium body and clean rounded mouthfeel. Coffee, coffee, coffee and more coffee. Low-medium bitterness. I like coffee...

Medium brown, very coffeeish nose, smells more like coffee than my morning coffee. Sweet, coffeeish with brown sugar. Mellow, and the abundant sweetness really helps the coffee.

Bottled@SBWF2014. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is very much roasted coffee, some toasted malts and mild chocolaty notes. Flavour is coffee, very much roasted malts, mild liquorice and some slight chocolaty notes to it as well. Big time coffeebomb, but in a good way.

Bottle at SBWF2014. Dark brown color, small off-white head. Strong fresh coffee, coffee beans aroma. Medium-bodied. Loads of coffee, sweetness in the flavor. Coffee overdose with sweetness.

Poured from the tap. Black with beige head. Strong aroma of roast malt. Same flavour with some dusty notes and a mild sweet lactose. Interesting finish with a subtle touch of chocolate.

On tap. Pours a dark brown with light head. Aromas of fresh coffee grounds and roasted barley, with some cooked vegetable notes. Flavors are similar are with emphasis on chewy fresh ground coffee. Interesting.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours black with an amber tinge and a small beige head. Aroma reveals notes of coffee grinds and faint lactic sugar. Flavour blends these two elements beautifully, with espresso and lactose. Just sweet enough to balance the coffee roast. Excellent stout.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Black color with beige compact head. Strong aroma and flavor of coffee, a bit aromatic, a bit acidic; not my kind of coffee (to me it has traces of old coffee grounds), but it has depth; moderate residual sweetness, contributes to a good body structure; strong bitterness with hop resins.
A different kind of Black IPA.

On tap at bier thirty. Pours out a black topped with a small tan head. Nose is heavy coffee roast malts and some chocolate sweetness. Taste is as the nose with lots of coffee sweetness and the roast.
