Avec Babylone, c’est « Back to the future » !

Bottle. Clear deep amber with a dense near white head. Rich malty aroma with bread and dried fruit. Citrus and light spices waft over the top. Medium bodied. Much drier and more bitter than expected from the aroma. And one the one hand I like the sternish finish but on the other I wanted the malt to register a bit longer. Interesting.

Taste is nice enough, not sure I get the bread, but the end has a hint of it. Brown bread, malty, light bitterness, quite British style. Little bit of spice. Aroma is malty, bit of grassy hops. Quite nice.

Probably a strong version of the style. Kind of like a dark more caramelly ipa. But the hops and bitterness still dominates. online Beerwulf bottle (3.3 jan 2019) Complete revision. Top notch esb. Smooth round clean and malty with a nice hop contribution. Het lagerhuys ams
