Draught at the brewpub, on June 18, 2015Clear copper color, white head. Hoppy, fruity scent. Hoppy, bitter taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high bitterness.

Draft - Light sweet malts and grains. Clear dark copper with a decent white head. Grains, toasted malts and more grains. Decent.

On tap at the brewery. 5% It is a crystal clear ruby brown with minimal head. A mild cocoa aroma. Pretty smooth body, zesty carbonation with an earthy caramel flavor to it. Not bad but it seems like an average earthy altbier. Not my fav style and Japan has better examples of alts where it is a common style.

Has the slightly brassy brown colour down. Aroma is earthy, maybe bit of chocolate. Sweetish front...hops taste English, and blind I think that would be my guess for style. A bit of bread, touch of dryness. Would slot in as a good industrial alt but I would still posit that Creemore made the best Canadian alt.

Beautiful dark amber color, hazy, with medium sized creamy head. Mild aroma, with the expected caramel, bit also infinitesimal portion of dust; a bit later some timid cereal appears; delicate and harmonious aroma overall, five it some time because it develops slowly. The mouthfeel is lean, off-dry, with just the required minimal amount of residual sugars; caramel flavor, very light bready touch. Correct bitterness although in the late final there is an impression of vegetables.
Clean.
This could be sold in Düsseldorf without shame.

473mL growler, pours a clear copper amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma brings out loads of English malts, English hops, and biscuity notes - smells like an English bitter. Flavour is just the same, with a wonderful balance of hops and malt, both of the English varieties. Very creamy mouthfeel, with a wonderful lingering finish of all the English ingredients. Highly drinkable - could drinks litres of this. Excellent.
