Blonde, 5,5% abv, hazy and opalescent, creamy head. Her nose is a mix of citrus fruits and flowers - thanks to the use of ‘forgotten’ hop varieties, grown with love in the south of Germany - with a note of ripe pear. It develops flavours of citrus, bergamot and kumquat, as well as notes of rustic cereals (spelt, wheat, and rye) and wild flowers. Its final is very dry, as the style wants it. A real thirst-quencher!

2016 version at 5.5% abv. Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is peppery yeast, fruity citrus, hops, hay, soft pale malt, wheat, mild spicy and herbal notes. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and rather bitter for a Saison. Body is medium. Very nice hoppy citrussy Saison with good peppery spicy yeast and a firm dry bitter finish.

Aromas are malt, citrus, skunk and yeast. Amber glass but I think it was light struck. Flavors are similar to nose, loses a bit of the skunk and citrus and yeast come through more. More bitter than sweet. Full bodied with slightly soft carbonation. Decent but not great.

Cloudy gold with a large foamy white head that left good lacing. Strong fruity and citric aroma. Flavor was fairly citrus and fruity with light notes of yeast.l, black pepper and mustiness. Long finish. Medium body.

250ml tap. Cloudy yellow with a fluffy head. Some funky zesty hoppy notes, some overripe fruit. Dry zesty bitterness. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry zesty bitter funky finish. Decent Saison, not that complex, but a good thirst quencher.
