Every great pizza pie deserves a great beer to go with it, so Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza teamed up with Fort Lauderdale’s own Funky Buddha Brewery to brew our own: Fuhgeddaboudit Red Ale. This fiery-red Italian-American ale is crafted with a blend of European barley and English hops. Flavorful enough to balance out the intense crunch of coal fired crust, but also refined enough pair with delicate San Marzano tomato sauce.

On tap at Funky Buddha. Reddish-amber, hazy, caramel nose with light toast. Bland, a going nowhere red, with a bit of toast, but tartness, too.

Draught as part of a flight at the Funky Buddha Brewery in Oakland Park on January 21, 2015.Marked down as 5.0% ABV.As if the text "Brewed at Funky Buddha, only served at Anthony’s Pizza.", not so since I was served this one at the brewpub, unless they lied to me about which beer it was?Clear dark copper oxide to brown color, teal head. Malty, bitter, husky, metallic taste. Light husky and metallic aftertaste. Fizzy mouthfeel, medium low bitterness. Light malty and boozy scent.
