From tap at 6e Noordelijk Kerst- en Winterbierenfestival, Hoogeveen. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, creamy, smoke, coffee, some dark fruity notes. Flavour is over moderate sweet. Body is medium to full. Delicate and refined Smoked Porter, much to my liking.

Tap at Haarlem Speciaalbierfestival ’15: Opaque black colored brew with an dry bitter taste, hints of smoked, dark chocolate and roasted malts.

Bottle. Almost black. Malt, roast and caramel in the aroma. Full bodied. malty sweet soft roasty flavor with Tobacco and dried fruit. Hint of smoke. vanilla. Nice.

Tap (Craftova, Wrocław). Ciemnobrązowe z niewielką beżową pianą. W aromacie delikatna wędzonka, ciut szynkowa, lekko słodkawy. W smaku wytrawne z wyraźnym drewnianym i ciut alkoholowym posmakiem. Można wypić niewielką ilość ale piwo niczym nie zachwyca, wydaje się słabo ułożone i zbalansowe.

Dark brown to black colored, medium tan creamy head, not too lasting. Aroma is of roasted malt, smoke, some caramel, bit dark fruit, some alcohol notes. Taste is medium+ sweet malt, mostly roasted, some smoked and coffee, caramel, dark chocolate, medium- roasty bitterness, some alcohol and warmth in the finish. Medium+ bodied, soft carbonation, oily to creamy. (bottle, Pivoteka, Zagreb)

Bottle at Indewildeman, 12th September 18. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is smoke, leather, caramel. Taste is smoked meats, roasty, caramel, malt, lots of intensity. Good one.

Bottle @ home. Black colour with a medium sized beige head. Smells roasty, earthy, slightly smokey, hint of iron. Tastes roasty, liquorice, sweet, earthy, hint of salmiakki, some soy sauce. Medium body, nice carbo.

Bottled 330ml. -from Pivoteka Zagreb. Black coloured, medium sized brownish head, mild smoke and whiff of chocolate in the nose. Roasted malt, light caramel and smoke with touch of chocolate and dried fruits. Very good one, so far the best of 6 Bax Bier beers I've rated.

(Bottle, In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 24 Feb 2018) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, coffee, black rye bread and a touch of smoke. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, coffee, liquorice, some smoke and a slight sweetness in a finish with a generous roasty bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and solid porter with a mild smoke touch. Very nice.
