Draft: Poured a black with tan colored head. Aroma is strong rugged hops. Taste hops stinging astringent and dark malt backbone.

Draft - Roasted malts with a hoppy bite. Jet black with a rich beige head. Chocolate and a hoppy bitterness with a long hoppy bitter finish. Not bad, but a bit too much roast for me.

Tap at Rapp. It pours very dark brown with a thick tan head. The nose is roasted malt, toast, pine, treacle, aniseed/liquorice and fresh citrus. The taste is roasted malt, coffee, pine, nice bitterness, cocoa, earth, pithy citrus and a touch of soap with a bitter finish. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. Flavoursome, nice body and good depth of flavour. Another winner from Rapp.
