Bottled:
Pours black with a rich head. Aroma is roasted malt, smoke, chocolate and smoked meat. Flavour is roasted malt and coffee followed by a long, somewhat sharp, soapy hop bitterness. An interesting but somewhat unbalanced beer. But what style is it? IPA-Stout? India Old Ale?

Bottle. Pours black with a small light beige head. Aroma of pine, jasmine rice and pine.

Bottle. Black, no head. Fresh citrus hops in aroma. Lots of coffee and hops in taste, very bitter. A beer with a lot of qualities, too bad its not very well balanced.

Bottle. Pours near black with a dark brown around the edges and a quickly dissipating dark brown head. Aroma has notes of hops as well as some roasted malts and a bit of coffee. A nice combination of dark malts and pine hops. A slight sweet undertone towards the finish as well.

Bottle. Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and mpderate hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor with strong coffee notes. Long moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate. A little messy.

Sample at Voldby Brewdog tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are chocolate, coffee, roast malt and spices. Quite a dry finish.

Bottle 33cl. @ DOE Tasting, Fox & Hounds, Holstebro.Clear dark brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, hay, roasted, cramel, coffee, moderate to heavy hoppy, graoefruit, moderate yeasty, Belgium yeast. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20100126]

33 cl bottle from temporary selection at Systembolaget. Sampled on March 9, 2010.Didn’t have a pad in front of me, so mainly from memory thisPours a black with red hints at certain degrees, brownish head. When cool displays a very citrussy, piney hoppy scent that seems well out of balance. When warming up change into first a ginger bread dough spicy, then more of a yeasty phenolic version. Taste when cold is mainly hoppy and bitter, changing into dry bitter almost tannin like dry roasted barley. When warming up more of a spicy and yeasty taste. Medium but dryish mouthfeel, rather high bitterness. Seems when brewed the brewers couldn’t quite decide what this beer was going to be, shows that way in the end result for me. Not well balanced in any way, especially when cold, then the scent and flavor really don’t match at all. Enjoyed this much more when warming up, got more enjoyable. Even though I sort of enjoyed the scent and taste each to their own when cooler, the unbalanced dry, not of hops high bitterness, made it all in all not very enjoyable to finish the bottle (even when shared by me and one more). There are plenty of other beers that cost less that I can enjoy more.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a large beige head that lingered and produced good lacing. The aroma was very strong fruity, floral and gritty hops with a touch of sugar underneath. The flavor was toasty and had a table sugar element followed by a huge punch of fruity and floral hops. A touch yeasty and funky with a trace presence of licorice. The hops really come back and dominate on the long hoppy finish. Fairly full bodied. Interesting but too one dimensional.
