A beer that honors the harvest of the hops. This amber coloured slightly opalescent Festbier is brewed with fresh harvested and undried Saphir hops and is stored extra long and cold.

Tap at La Tape. Hazy red, offwhite lacing cream. Light lactic, fruity, metallic grassy. Medium light dry rusty body. Light berry aftertaste. Maybe not the freshest keg?

(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20121226) The beer poured golden and almost clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, malts and grain. Palate was medium bodied with quite high carbonation. Flavours were grass, fruitiness, grain, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, grainy and bitter. A bit hoppier and maltier pils. Tasty but nothing exceptional.

Draught @ Tuulensuu as ”Weihenstephaner Wet Hop Saphir”
Vertical with Mikkeller Saphir Wet Hop Pale Ale
Aroma has peaches, some exotic fruits and hints of sweetish and sticky. grainy malt. Flavour has grainy malt, peaches and some sugar. Too sticky, but better than Mikkeller. And this one has even some refreshing elements.

Draught @ Pikkulintu, Helsinki
Pours clear golden with a foamy white head. Aroma of bready malts, grassy hops and hints of fruits. Taste is malty and quite hoppy with some bready notes, hints of grass and fruits. Finish is sweetish and hoppy with some maltiness and fruity notes. Decent, feels a bit unbalanced. Just what you would expect when you add loads of hops into a Festbier.
