2 oz. sample at the brewery. Dark black with tan head. Sweet subtle bourbon and chocolate aroma. Oak.
Flavor is much better than anything I sampled from this brewery. Flavor of oak, whiskey, vanilla, dark chocolate, old coffee with a sweet finish. Body is full with a light creamy feel. Limited stout that aged in bourbon barrels for 2 years. We were told by the bartender "When it’s gone, it’s gone!" No plans to rebrew it. The brewers need to consider making this of production.

pitch black. smells like chocolate and whiskey. Taste is very bourbon forward, lots of chocolate, insane sweetness with a lot of roasty qualities oily and just too sweet.

On tap at ACBF 6/1/2013 Roasty chocolate bitter earth with smooth bourbon vanilla and oak. I was hugely surprised by this beer, it is fantastic and its from Magic Hat. Why in the hell don’t they sell this?

Sampled at GABF on Saturday October 13, second sessionBlack color, brown head. Malty, sweet, chocolate scent, also vanilla. Sweet, vanilla, chocolate taste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.Oh so very nice! mmmm
