Bottle. Orange-brown in color. Light amber head. Aroma, spicy, pumpkin pie. Taste like a nice pumpkin pie, a tad funky after taste.

I can’t get these punkin beers; they’r rather dull and usually have more spices than punk, if any. Spices abound in this one too. Yep, these beers need more co2, tartness, sugar and less dullness. Not impressed.

12 oz. bottle in a trade with queenholly. Nose is cinnamon and caramel malt. Weak flavors of pumpkin, all spice and it has a strange sour ginger note. Body is thin and watery. Almost a sweet sugary finish. This odd sour ginger is real distracting and takes away from this beer. Is ginger even an ingredient in this brew? I really don’t like ginger root as a taste at all and for me this brew just does not work. Perhaps this works better on draft….

12 oz. bottle, bonus'd to me by tstockstrom (thanks a lot, Chuck). Pours a hazy orange amber with a medium beige head. Aroma of dark, slightly caramelized brown sugar, pumpkin spices (nutmeg and cinnamon), and a bit of pumpkin puree. Flavour is fairly light and restrained, dominated by the aforementioned spices, some dark brown sugars and a bit of pumpkin puree. Light, slightly sweet and spicy. Solid pumpkin ale.

This beer pours a brownish-amber color with a medium light beige head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of nutmeg and pumpkin. Light-bodied with flavors of grainy malt, spice and faint pumpkin. The finish is sweet with a malt and cinnamon aftertaste. Not very pumpkiny but a decent beer.

Tap at New Albanian. Sweet pumpkin malt, nutmeg aroma - like pumpkin pie meets eggnog. Amber with a small off-white head. Pumpkin malt, cinnamon, and nutmeg flavor with a ginger finish. Medium creamy body, Outstanding pumpkin ale.

Draft. Nutmeg, light cinnamon and pumpkin malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet nutmeg, cinnamon, and pumpkin malt flavor with a strong ginger finish. Very smooth. A hit even with my wife who has hated almost every beer (except for the ultra-sweet lambics) she has ever tried.
