Craft Clerkenwell Bottle Share. Thanks to Paul. Hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and crisp. Nose of light lemon and a big bunch of fresh basil! Little lemon sherbet and homemade lemonade and then big basil follows, fruity herby! Light crisp finish. Yeah - it works and works pretty well. Doesn’t taste too green herb.

Bottle shared at Craft Clerko. It pours cloudy orange with a medium white head. The nose is musty, basil, big pesto character, sweet-sour, pizza and grass....so yeah pretty unusual! The taste is crisp, tart, funky, lemony zest, grass, damp wood, leaves, pithy lime, light pesto and sherbet. Medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Aroma is straight-up bonkers, perhaps a bit off-putting. It does tastes rather nice though. Unique!

Bottle at 100 piv. Almost clear golden colour, stable white head. Aroma clean and clear basil, pesto. Probably the weirdest beer I have had which remains tasty as well. Very good, sour, pesto, complex, pleasantly tart+sour. Very refreshing and easily drinkable. Excellent.

Bottle shared at home. Hazy light golden with off white head that leaves a ring of cute little bubbles. Funk, fresh basil leaves, slightly lactic, lemon, sour white grapes, very light vinegar and wood, soft leaves in the finish. Medium sour and very light bitterness. Under medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Strong on the basil but not that strong that it becomes one dimensional.

22/08/2015 – sample (bottle) @ Gents Bierfestival shared with JorisPPattyn, Sebletitje, 77ships & PriorL Hazy orange colour. Nose is sourness, wood, basil. Taste light sourness, basil, basil, basil, light sweetness. Didn’t work for me. Later on I got the mention that it is better to combine this with some food, I can think of that but as a drink on its own it doesn’t work for me.
