2012. Årets sommaröl från S:t Eriks är ett belgiskt veteöl, witbier, smaksatt med hallon samt de klassiska wit-kryddorna koriander och pomerans. Tonvikten ligger på bärens fruktighet och syra med en touch av citrustoner från korianderfröna och pomeransskalen. Hallon Wit är bryggt speciellt med tanke på ett uppfriskande sommaröl och är ett alternativ till rosévinet. Jessica Heidrich har använt både mältat och omältat vete samt pilsnermalt som bas, och slutligen kryddat med den klassiska, tjeckiska ädelhumlen Saaz och en massa färska hallon.

Draught (backlog). Hazy orangeish red colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is mild resin, some raspberries as well as kind of a "wheat ale" tone to it. Flavour is wheatbeer, some tar wood and mild raspberries to go along with it.

Draft @ Bishops Arms Savoy, Malmö. Pours a hazy orange reddish color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity wheat malty raspberry aroma. Fruity wheat malty spicy raspberry flavor. Has a fruity wheat malty raspberry finish.

(Draught at MacKinlay’s Inn, Stockholm) Hazy orangey pink colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with raspberries, citrus and vanilla. Fruity, slightly tart taste with notes of raspberries, bread, citrus and pink grapefruit. Medium body, quite dry. More raspberries in the nose than in the mouth. A bit weird, but quite refreshing and definitely drinkable.

Tap @ Ardbeg Embassy Stockholm. Hazy reddish orange appearance with an off white head. Soapy tangerine, raspberry, a touch floral aroma. A bit dull raspberry juicy, bready wheat, a bit tangy fruity flavor. Bleh.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms, Östersund. Cloudy orange, small pale pink head. Aroma of raspberry jam. Dryish and slender with tart raspberries and vanilla. Clean, spritzy mouthfeel. No bitterness. Fairly refreshing, but not something I want to drink a lot of.

On tap at Ardbeg Embassy, July 2012. Hazy pinkish with a large and firm head. Aroma and taste of raspberries, wheat, yeast and some spices. A bit om the sour side with medium carbonation. Quite refreshing and drinkable but with a thin finish.

Draught. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Moderate malty and light hoppy spicey aroma. raspberry? Maybe! Light bitter flavor. Some week raspberry notes. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate.
