With accents of fresh orange, this refreshing, light pale ale is clean and smooth. A subtle hint of coriander enhances the crisp finish.

Biscuit malts, fruity, light hops, and noticeable spices in this brew. Not great, but I was pleasantly surprised with this light beer.

Pale copper brown, small white head. Nutty brewing mash malty nose. Malty but with light palate. Strong flavor of orange, light notes of coriander. Original and refreshing. Better than expected.

Light amber color; nice head. Very light aroma of orange zest. Light mouthfeel, dry and watery, with a light orange zest flavor. Poor.

Sample at the Heartland Chophouse: Straw-colored and clear with tiny bubbles and a thin white head that leaves quickly. Nil lacing. Aroma of citrus and coriander. Rather thin body, with zesty orange flavor and some spice and malt. The flavors don’t intermingle very well though. The finish is spicy and lightly bitter, but watery. All in all below average.

(On tap) Heartland Brewery is one of surprisingly few brew pubs in NYC - this beer was tasted on rhe Union Square branch. Light amber in colour, pretty flat head. Brewed with coriander an oranges of which the latter are quite prominent making this a nice refreshing spring/summer-beer.

If this is a pale ale, I wouldnt have guessed. All the makings of an American Light. No flavor, watery to the extreme. Has some sweet malt on the finish, there's something in there, if it's coriander, you cant really tell. It is lost in the watery death of a finish.
