(Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse No 68, Stockholm) The beer poured brown and cloudy. Its head was long lasting, white and medium sized. Aroma was the one of double IPA: excessive sweetness, strongly hops and also fresh fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were hops, sweetness, malts, yeast, fruitiness, alcohol and bitterness. Aftertaste contained bitterness. malts and grapefruit. The aftertaste saved a lot but I have to say this style pleases me less and less.

Draught at 3 Små Rum, on November 3, 2010Hazy brown color, to the murky side. Tan medium creamy head. Bread, baking yeast, hoppy, fruity scent. Sweet, hoppy, bitter taste. Medium to the smooth side mouthfeel, medium high bitterness that lingers. For me the yeasty scent and the high bitterness puts the beer down a few notches from excellent to more than OK. Not my first choice in the bar next time, but wouldn’t mind trying it again.

(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 1 Oct 2010) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, hoppy nose with pine needles, grapefruit and fresh earthy hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit, apricots, pine needles and black-currant. Generous fresh bitterness in the finish. Solid malt body to back up all the hops. A certain sweetness. Despite the abv and the load of hops it feels quite well balanced. Lovely IIPA. I’m quite impressed.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival. Hazy dark amber, airy head. Rich lychee aroma. Sweet and caramelly, full bodied. Very hoppy with lots of mango and growing bitterness. A very aromatic beer that has what I want from a DIPA.
