Cask@Akkurat. Ruby reddish brown colour with small bubbly head. Sweet malts and some caramel in aroma. Flavour is hops, malts and very strong balancing caramel/toffee in the aftertaste. The aftertaste saves the beer, which is surprisingly full palated.

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 4,5% abv) Colour is dark amber, almost ruby, with a frothy head. Nose is malty, somewhat closed, with chocolate, some yeast and with a light grassy hoppiness. Taste is malty, with chocolate, dark cherries and a well balanced hoppiness in the finish. Medium body, well balanced and smooth, but a bit short. Not much in common with most mild ales, but probably better than most. I haven’t seen this in a while, but it was better than I remember. (8/7/7/8/6.5=7.1) Rerate: (Bottle, 4 Sep 2025) Dark amber colour with brief, foamy, beige head. Malty nose with treacle toffee, caramel, dried apricots, bread, butterscotch and orange. A bit shy. Malty taste with notes of treacle toffee, dried apricots, dark bread, butterscotch, tobacco and orange. Low bitterness. Medium body, dry. Well balanced. Quite nice.

The aroma is acidic and a little sweet. The color is an unclear orange/brown and it has a fine but disappearing head. The flavor is sour as a mild shall be, but I don't like the style. This version is a little is a very thin watery mild - not much of anything.
