En lätt rökig ale, passar kanske bra till ägg.

First rating, April 5, 2007(Draught at The Rover, Göteborg) Clear copper color, thick cream colored head. Fresh peaty smoky scent. Smoky and hoppy taste in a strange mix that cancel each other out. Medium mouthfeel and bitterness. Though I love the smoky scent the taste could use less hops and more smoke.9/4/5/3/12=3.3Second rating, April 13, 2007(Draught at The Rover, Göteborg) Shady brown color, fluffy tan head. Smoke and sweet malt with some fruits scent. Some smoke but mostly sweet and fruity taste, rather clean. Medium mouthfeel. Medium high bitterness. A touch of smoke in the aftertaste.7/3/6/3/13=3.2

(Draught at Monk’s Café, Stockholm, 4 Apr 2007) Amber colour with firm beige head. Nose is ... oh dear... this is seriously smokey stuff. Malty, smokey and tarry, leading my thoughts more in the direction of Laphroaig and Ardbeg on the south banks of Islay than in the direction of Bamberg. Smokey, malty, tarry taste, rather dry. Luckily, the rather light body and low abv makes it rather drinkable. Complex it is not, neither balanced. As usual, no half measures from Närke, which always makes their beers interesting. And interesting it is, tasty as well, but one a day is probably enough.

Draught at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Lightly hazy dark amber, creamy head. Strong tarry smoke aroa. Dry and light bodied with crisp mouthfeel. With it’s light body the smoke gets very evident, and the body struggles a bit to carry the intense tarry flavours. While soft and sweet upfront it has a slightly sharp back side in a salty finish. Interesting and experimental, but not the most well balanced of beers from Närke.
