Earthly orange and mandarin fruits combined perfectly, with an amazing caramel base. Lovely bitter finish. Medium body.

Bottle at The Ale House, Chelmsford. Billed as a โ€™Hybrid American Amberโ€™, it pours a deep amber colour with a fairly large white head. Lovely hoppy aroma akin to American Pale Ale with caramel, malt and fruit. Very smooth, with a bittersweet finish. Slightly creamy texture, average/right carbonation, medium body. Much enjoyed.

Bottle courtesy of Zer0. Poured a hazy medium to dark amber with a thin white head. The aroma is big resin liqourice. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a malt hop liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

330ml bottle. Clear ruby red glowing amber colour with average, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Bitter hoppy, fruity aroma has notes of grapefruit and pineapple. Taste is bitter hoppy, minimally sweet caramel malty basis with a touch of bitter almond, some pine, some tangerine, orange and orange zest. Bitterness slightly overlaps the fruity notes.

Keg at the Bat. Pours hazy amber with a good, slightly off-white head. Aromas of caramel and marmalade. Taste is big! Lots more of the aromas, plus more fresh citrus fruits and some roasted flavours. Interesting.

The Rake. Light haze on this amber beer. residual white head. Palate is fresh and light. Semi dry with very fine carbonation. Smooth malt, touch of cream. A little spice - like rye malt or something. Juicy marmalade hops, semi sweet. Bitterish pine and a whisper of red berry fruits. Dry crisp finish. Decent bitter linger. Good stuff!

Keg at The Lyric, Soho. It pours hazy amber with a small beige head. The nose is wood, varnish, toasted brown bread, toffee and earth. The taste is wood, earth, good level of bitterness, light resin, varnish, spice, caramel and some zesty citrus with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty tasty all-round. Good stuff.
