Bottle at home. Aroma is very oaky, big woody liquorice, bitter dark chocolate, rum, roasted malt, salmiak, trekdrop, hint of vanilla. Flavour is rather sweet and sticky. Slightly boozy. Body is full. Rich and heavy, huge sweet flavour. Good Rum BA Stout, prefer the original though.

Bottle. Almost black, opague. Caramel, roast and cereals in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor, oaky with licorice and laurel. Caramel. Vanilla. Couldn’t taste the rhum, the beer is too rich for that, Full bodied, smooth, slightly alcoholic. Nice.

Pours dark brown, very little foam there. Nose is nice chocolaty, hops, some herbal character there as well. Taste is a bit boozy, more of that chocolate and some herbal thing still. Interesting bitter tingle at the end of my throat. Herbal bitter lingering finish. Some spicy booze and maybe a bit of oak as well. Good stuff, definitely enjoyable, I am starting to understand why Dutch tend to like dark beers, these beers rock!

Dark brown color. Nice sweet sugar cane, oatmeal and dark chocolate nose. Fairly sweet. The mouth has way too much oak, that just overwhelms, with some rum, dark chocolate and oatmeal. Nice lingering rum finish. Slightly warming and oaky. Nice. But barrel aging is a bit off.

Can split at L42, thanks to DD, 14/11/17. Rich mahogany brown with a decent beige head. Nose is light smoke, charr, molasses, oak, mellow barrel, cocoa sprinkle. Taste comprises toffee, light smoke, fruit cake, spice, cocoa rub, raisins, mellow barrel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Not bad considering Danny had heated it to 3000 degrees and cellared it for years.

Aged bottle care of Danny, shared at L42. It pours opaque black with a bubbly beige head. The aroma is earthy, woody, oaky, toffee, cookie dough, vanilla, toasted marshmallow and rocky road. The taste is slick, oily, chewy, roasted malt, vanilla, earth, fudge, dried fruits, date, toffee, cocoa and leather with a slick, oily finish. Medium - full body and fine carbonation. Chewy stuff. Not bad at all for an aged imperial stout.
