Appearance: Very dark brown, almost black. Minuscule dark tan head.
Aroma: Dark malt, roasted, coffee.
Taste: Dark malt, coffee, burnt. Then the oak/barrel kicks in that I feel overshadows everything else a bit.
Bought: Trade with Benzai - thanks!, 330 ml

Bottle thanks to Benzai. Pours dark brown with off-white head ring - Nose/taste of rum, oak, smoked baker’s chocolate, caramel and vanilla - medium body. A bit flat. Rum overpowers everything.

330ml bottle from Saveur-Biere.fr. Pours a slick black with brief tan head. Roasted malts and liquorice aroma. Concentrated liquorice in the taste with oak barrel hiding at the back and rum emerging as the glass warms. Compelling, but a touch too heavy and thick tasting for me.
