The otherworldly resonance of black currants adds a vivid new frequency to Deth's Tar. Notes of chocolate, vanilla, and graham extracted from bourbon barrels reverberate with lively tartness and juicy sweetness.

Thin, tart, fruity, sweet, boozy. Blackcurrant, bitter roast, dry barrel, bourbon and lavender in the finish. I think the first miss I've had from them, but not bad.

Thanks Virby44 for the can! Taster showing dark brown with latte colored foam.
The nose shows moderately intense notes of currants and coffee.
The palate is lightly carbonated and medium bodied. Moderately acidic, light currants, mildly sweet, and a moderate coffee bitterness.

Can shared with Peter! Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aromas of dark malts, dark chocolate, roasted malts, light berry-like sweet notes, vanilla. Taste has black currants-berry like notes, vanilla, bourbon, dark chocolate, light acidity, jammyness. Works pretty well!

Can. Pours near black with an earthy brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma is sweet dark grain forward with roasted malts and a nice dark currant note. Flavor combines dark grains and currant with roast and oak notes underlying.

Canned November 2018. Popped this a bit on the fresh side. Bold currents, red grape and raisins hints. Booze pretty much slaps you in the face. Maybe a stiff punch in the mouth. This may age gracefully. But how long do you want to age a stout in a can?? A stout like this should still be released in a bottle.

Very high alcohol and it is prominent in the flavor and aroma. Minimal cirra t glavor, some brown sugar. Alcohol is overwheliming.
