Barrel Aged Kentucky Common Wyld Ale with peach tea and mint added
Kentucky common aged fourteen months in third use bourbon barrels before a twelve hour steep on peach tea and fresh mint. This iteration used Willett barrels that previously held beer from our Spirit Barrel Program. It has a noticeable robust backbone with round acidity, notes of cantaloupe, early stone fruit, vanilla and char.

Sampled from the tap at Mixed Culture. Pours a hazy burnt orange with an off white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma hat notes of tart and sweet peach with some mint, light oak and grain supporting. Flavor has a great peach note with light mint and light oak backing.

(Tap sample @ MBCC 2017 Red Session, Copenhagen) Pours slightly murky amber with a small white head. Notes of quite sweet peaches, fresh flowers, iced tea, mint, tart citrusy edge, herbs, soft malt. Overall balance is moderately sweet through the sip finishing dry, a bit astringent and woody, and lightly tart. Light to medium body, osft carbonation. Surprising to me, very iced tea-like, additions are largely the reason I guess. Not terribly familiar with the style but this was solid and refreshing.
