A belgian-style barleywine? We know, the monks would turn around in the grave. But our Oracle is the perfect union of two historical styles as the belgian quadrupels and the english barleywines. Full in body, this copper strong ale releases aromas of caramel, dark & dried fruits and sweet malts, balanced by noble european hops.

Thanks. Sampled bottled@ BBF 2014. Dark brown, little head. Nose is booze, cheap cacao, light mocha & lots of sugar. Taste is very basic, cheap chocolate, lots of sugar, yeast, mocha, lightly boozy,… Feels a bit thin for what it should be. Zero complexity. This is more sugar than beer. Acceptable I suppose.

330 ml bottle. Pours a clear brown with moderate foamy head. Aromas of sweet malt, chocolate and roasted malts. Flavors are similar with a light touch of Belgian yeast and dark fruit. More of a chocolate-y Belgian Strong.
