Poured from a bottle. Aroma is nice with quite a bit of tropical fruit and some lighter stone fruit. Mango, rambutan, pineapple with some medium light citrus. Some light rye notes. Lighter barrel character with a nice white wine note. Pours a murky, dull, copper orange with a medium large, medium thick, slightly off white head that steadily recedes to a thin film that lingers for a bit. No lacing or legs. Flavor is fairly acidic and the acidity is fairly sharp. Lots of pineapple with some lighter citrus notes. Some light tropical fruit character as well. Light rye spice. Medium light oak notes with some white wine character. Low bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright beer but far from my favorite de Garde. The acidity is far too sharp and the fruit notes are fairly one dimensional. I think the rye works well with the barrel, but I just wish the acidity and pineapple were not as strong.

Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours a hazy copper gold with small white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong white wine, grape, oak, funk. Thin mouth, vinous, grape, very sour, really nice.

750mL bottle at The Beer Mongers, pours an opaque orange with a small white head. Aroma has got that strange earthy pithy note that some De Garde beers have, with stone fruits and spicy rye. Flavour is spicy, earthy and massively sour, with spicy rye, massively tart stone fruits and pithiness. Earthy, tart finish. Solid stuff, but a bit confused.

At Beer Mongers. Cloudy golden not much head and no lacing. Urine-y sourness. Flavor is a bit rough that way as well. But completely de Garde.
