Bottle @ OBD share. Pours dark brown with a brown head. Notes of oak, big bourbon as if someone dashed a bit in there, caramel, fudge. A bit over-boozed bud damn good!

(375ml 2017 bottle shared @ Nische's tasting, thanks Otso!) Pours clear deep mahogany with a small tan head. Notes dominated by a massive but smooth bourbon component on top of the heavy toffee and light molasses malt base, some dark fruit, toasted coconut, creamy vanilla, light char, some dark fruit but all about these heavy coconutty oak barrels, which linger long into the moderately sweet, very softly bitter and toasty finish. Quite full and viscous body with almost no carbonation and a hint of alcohol warmth. Intensely bourbon-forward and yet not hot or overpowering like some brews with much less barrel character. Just a beautiful, characterful barrel expression.

Bottle generously shared by Bryan. Pours a ruddy amber hue with a small white bubble of head. A wonderful nose, amazing deep bourbon. The flavor is amazing: huge sweet malts, tobacco, massive hot bourbon, woody. So many layers to this, just impossible depth and very drinkable despite the ABV. Great! Really one of my favorites in the past few years.
