Inspired by Electric Avenue, the beating heart of Brixton, our lively IPA is an assault on the senses – much like its namesake. This beer is all about the interplay between malt and hop – the perfect harmony of sweet and bitter. Electric is assertive but perfectly balanced with a solid backbone that rolls into a lingering hoppy finish.

Bottle from Sourced Market St Pancras and drunk at home. Hazy amber colour with a thick beige head. Quite an attractive big hoppy aroma. Big pink grapefruit. Juicy. Big good hops, good bitterness but still reasonably well balanced. My kinda big huge IPA that just puts a smile on your face. Nice and fresh too.

Bottle at home picked up at opening night Craft Beer Co Brixton. Orange / amber colour with a thin off white head. Aroma is spicy hop, some grassy notes toffee malt and slight plastic hockey ball. Flavour is biscuit malt, spicy hop, but there is a nail polish alcohol solvent the overrides most of the flavours.. Bitterness is rough grassy light citrus. Bitterness really lingers round at the back of the throat.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at CBC Brixton. Pours lightly hazy, rich gold with a large, frothy white cap. The aroma has pine needles, grapefruit and perhaps some tangerine. Light to medium sweet flavor with further citrusy hops, some alcohol, and an mild note of plastic and somewhat abrasive grass. Medium bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Subtly resinous on the finish with some harsh grassy bitterness, subtle toasted plastic, pine and semi-ripe grapefruit. There are some nice citrus notes at times but overall the beer has flaws and it’s just not that drinkable. Given the quality level of IPAs in London at this point in time a beer like this just won’t cut it.
