Brewed with our good friend Lawyer Bill, this beer has hints of dark stone fruit and candy

Weak sharp barley on the nose, has a brownish black body with no foam. Flavour is weak barley and coffee and nothing else. Mouthfeel is watery. It's just a bad mix of boring grains and water.

Cask @ Main St. Dark brown, medium head. Not a whole lot of aroma. Chocolatey taste, with maybe a touch of fruitiness. Decent.

Draft: Poured a midnight black with light brown head. Aroma is chocolate and malt. Taste is similar with smooth silk chocolate and rich roast malts.

Draught at the brewery
Black color, large tan head. Mild aroma of roasted malts a bit bready. The mouthfeel is very smooth, and drier than expected, the residual sweetness is very low; nice flavor of roasted malt and dark chocolate, some rye, delicate spices; a bit of hop resins tickle the tongue in the final; the alcohol is very well managed.
This beer deserves respect for the elegance and balance.

Draft - Sweet, roast chocolate and a touch of citrus. Jet brown with a decent brown head. Light sweet, some citrus and a touch of roast. The weird citrus notes throws me off a bit.

On tap at Main Street, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out notes of roasted malt upfront, with a little cocoa and light candied sugar. Flavour is robust, with loads of roasted malt dominating, with secondary notes of candied sugar and cocoa. Don't get much of the Belgian quality, but this is certainly excellent. Robust and balanced wonderfully.
