Deep dark brown coloured body with a rich, two to three centimetre tall lighter brown glow, all with a fairly clear tint, but a slight opacity towards the top. Aroma of deep roasted malts, nuts, earth, some caramelised sugars and a good amount of peated malt along with some alcohol noticeable. Medium-bodied; Relatively rich and chewy malt backbone shows through everything with a nice nutty and strong sweetness punch right afterwards, all with a hint of lactose, cream and even some cherries towards the end - very nice. Aftertaste shows the grain, a light hit of the lactose and creamy qualities and a subtle hint of caramelised sugars and nutty sweetness from hazlenuts along with a dry bite at the end. Overall, a very nicely balanced and structured porter that hits all the right notes and leaves the palate nice and refreshed, while having a ton of flavours. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle, purchased from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 05-October-2020 for US$1,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 09-May-2021.

Roast and dark chocolate. Black pour with good head. Bitter finish. Good balance and good beer. Easy drinking and solid session porter. Up there in DC area with Port City Porter, though I give that one a slight notch up on subtle balance. Light bitter finish with aftertaste of milk. Bottle.
