On tap at Mr. Brews in Melbourne. Pours clear amber with a small off-white head, light lacing. Caramel, wheat, mild sweet. Ok

This review was imported from my RateBeer ratings.
12 oz. can, 5.5% ABV, CANNED: 07/18/23
AROMA: Smells moderately sweet with scents of caramel and malt.
APPEARANCE: Pours a slightly hazy amber, with a very tall, light-tan head, that dissipates very slowly and has excellent lacing.
TASTE: Lightly sweet with mild caramel flavor. The finish is mildly dry and has a hint of banana at the very end. Honestly, this really isn't a complex beer. Which equates to a very simple flavor profile.
MOUTHFEEL: Medium-bodied but pushing close to being full-bodied. Slightly tacky texture with above-average carbonation.
OVERALL: I think the biggest drawback to this beer is that it is a little too simple. It only has a couple of aromatic and flavor points, and that's it. Additionally, none of those points are particularly note-worthy. Having said that, I find it to be a pleasant beer that certainly won't offend anyone's palate. Which makes for a nice beer to just chill out with, at a local bar or gathering. And when you think about it, is kinda what Oktoberfest is all about. Hanging with friends while sipping on a few brews!
TIP: Fresh out of the fridge, everything is pretty muted. So for best results, let the beer warm to about 58 F and you'll get much fuller aromatic and flavor profiles.
NOTE: RateBeer shows an ABV of 6.2%, but the can I bought says 5.5%. I'm guessing Crooked Can reformulated, this year.

16 oz. draft at Meg O'Malley's. Clear, dark reddish-bronze color with a small beige head and very good retention. Weirdly, no aroma at all. Tastes like a mix of a Marzen and an Irish red ale. Lighter than average caramel notes with light bitterness. Medium+ body and medium+ carbonation. Maybe not a strict Oktoberfest beer, but it's very good.

Draft pour enjoyed at Rock & Brews, Kissimmee. Can and dark copper appearance. Patchy head. Aroma is sweet caramel malts and a hint of dark fruit. Flavor has a lot of construction paper grain, some caramel, and a long bready, cool finish. Slick finish. Enjoyable enough within the style for me.

This was drinkable enough but didn't really feel like a real marzen/ofest. It was really caramelly sweet, didn't have some of the toasty elements or hop presence I might get from a better ofest. Across the board a sweet caramel grain brown lager.

Tap at Taste Central Florida. Nice colored light brown amber pour sudsy head. Nose is light dried fall leaf litter and red fruit. Tastes similar some earth and cardboard dig it. I love Oktoberfest.
