Dark Metal has an impenetrable black colour; its head, compact and positively persistent, is of a dark, almost brown, beige. The aromas it releases are mainly due to the roasted malts, with strong call-backs to coffee and chocolate.

The profile of its aromas is completed by the balsamic and resinous scents given by the Chinook hop, leading the taste to a pleasantly bitter finish, where the hop’s balsamic taste reminds of liquorice. METAL FOR MANIACS PURE!

A classic imperial stout, at the low end of everything. More like a bigger regular stout. But if ramped up another 4% would be superb. But it is great for that middle of the road stout they are going for. Dry, bitter, creamy balance with the roast. Elav Bergamo airport

8/7/2020. Bottle from Saveur Biere. 8.0% abv. Pours close to black with a deep ruby tint and a good size beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, toffee, coffee, molasses, touch of liquorice. Moderate sweetness and medium roasted bitterness. Quite full bodied, smooth, with soft carbonation. Strong bitter roast finish came through making it a little harsh but still enjoyable.
