Bottle: Clear, deep gold with a small white head. Very strong candy strawberry aroma. Taste is watery strawberry, grain malt. The scent is much better than the flavour. Grows a little bitter.....straw/grassy finish.

Bottle. Fresh strawberry, biscuit malt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Mildly sweet strawberry, biscuit malt, and mildly bitter straw flavor. Decent body. Surprisingly not bad.

12 ounce bottle, 6/4/16. Clear golden with a large foamy white head. Poor retention. Aroma of candy strawberry and a bit of wheat. The taste is sweet and slightly artificial strawberry, wheaty pale malt. Thin. They say this is the brewer’s PRIDE? Brewer needs to get some new priorities.

Slightly hazy ruby tinted straw coloured body with a honey glow and a light ruby tint, all with a small, single centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of strawberries (what else), some light grain, a touch of malt, a lot of sweetness from unfinished caster sugar and a bit of grass. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong strawberry and fruit flavours with a lot of grass and dryness with some very light hop flavours and a decent amount of sweetness on the end. Aftertaste shows the dry malt, a touch of cereal and funkyness along with a bit of sweetness from the strawberries and other fruit. Overall, a decent beer at best with a lot of strawberry flavours, some light malt and a hint of funk near the end. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle pulled from a twelve pack sampler after a hockey game in Arlington (Ballston), Virginia on 07-October-2015.

The bottle offers a nice whiff of strawberry juice right under the cap. It pours a slightly rosy body under a very fizzy head that settles down like a soda pop. The taste, though, points up a problem I have had with any "Strawberry Blonde" beer, going back to the one from Pete’s Wicked Ale. That is, that strawberry flavors seem to need to stand on their own, and don’t always play well with beer malts. This beer works around the issue by, it seems, keeping the hop load low, and perhaps using a lighter malt bill so that it finishes drier, to avoid too much sweetness. It’s still kind of hard to work the two tastes together on the palate until after the first couple of sips, but then it can work well in combination.
Very light and refreshing with lots of strawberry notes.

Sampled on draft at the Rivertowne Pub this beer poured a hazy yellow-gold color with a medium sized foamy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was sweet artificial sugar and artificial strawberries. The flavor was yeasty, a bit of cardboard, strong tangy artificial strawberry and artificial sugar. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly crystal clear bright golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big strawberry, cracker, bread, light honey, and light herbal/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with big authentic strawberry, moderate pale malt, and light earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big strawberry, cracker, bread, light honey, and light herbal/grassy earthiness. Minimal herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of strawberry, cracker, bread, light honey, and light herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Very nice robustness and balance of authentic strawberry, moderate pale malt, and light earthy hops flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness after the finish. Incredibly clean with zero yeast presence in aromas or flavors. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and slightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.3%. Overall this is a very nice fruited blonde ale style. All around good robustness and balance of strawberry, moderate pale malt, and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
