Nice crisp amber coloured body with a copper glow and a two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of bright citrus hops with pine, alcohol, resin and a bunch more fresh hops - very nice. Medium-bodied; Assertive fresh hop flavour with piney and citrus flavour, some earthy toffee and a great malt backbone. Aftertaste shows a great hop bitterness with a sweet finish from the caramel, a little earthiness, but a perfectly balanced malt backbone. Overall, a great beer and one that should be sampled by everyone - if you can get it, that is. I sampled this 12 ounce stubby bottle purchased from Bottleworks in Seattle, Washington on 10-February-2013 for US$1.33 sampled at home in [the real] Washington on 07-March-2013.

Sample at the brewpub. Slightly murky copper-amber color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of malt, sweet caramel and fruit. Light to medium body with flavors of caramel malt, hops and citrus. The finish is short with an earthy malt aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Bottle conditioned. 355 ml bought in Seattle for Superpower beer session part II, 29.01.09. Pours a cloudy dark amber colour, with small beige head. Aroma of hops and straw. Caramelized fruit and floral hops in taste. Bitter coffee-like finish.

12oz bottle. Highly filtered copper-orange colored. Nice and steady off-white head. Mild sweet malt and noble hop aroma. Smooth and creamy, with a solid earthy hoppy backbone. Very well balanced and clean, this is certainly an excellent Amber. Syrupy hoppy finish, with some subtle fruity Amber malt. A great seasonal, well done.

355ml bottle carried all the way from Seattle to Tromsø – courtesy of Elisabeth and Stefan. Bottle conditioned beer, ABV is supposed to be about 6.5%. Cloudy, dark amber content topped by an off-white, low level head. Nice sweet, hoppy aroma with notes of biscuits. Hoppy fruits in flavour, developing in the direction of brittle caramel notes. Bitter finish. Crispy in the mouth. Fairly standard amber [Sampled at a beer session in Tromsø 29.01.2009].

Bottle from cbkschubert, Thanks Craig; Nose of hops, dark fruit, and caramel malt; hazy copper witha small off white head; flavor is more hoppy than the nose with hop bitterness and just a little caramel in a medium body with a heavy hop finish. It smelled kind of like a barlewine at first wiff, but tastes like an IPA.
