Bottle thanks to my friend Ryan: Poured caramel brown with tan head. Aroma is sweet sticky boozy. Taste is malts, bark woods, mellow finish. This has held up super well for being bottled in 2011.

bottle courtesy of jsquire at Ft Wayne tasting - This brew smells of caramel and a bit of fruit. The taste of very sweet caramel malt. There’s a touch of hops bitterness in the finish, but mostly it’s sugary sweet with a hint of fruit. Pretty good. Kulmbacher still owns this seldom brewed style though.

Bottle shared at RBWG 2012. Pours a dark ruby with small off white head. The aroma is caramel malt and raisin. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet fruity malt and caramel. Alcohol present but not overpowering, a good eisbock from Midnight Sun.

(tap) reddish amber colour, no head to speak of; faint caramely aroma; rich sweetish flavour
