Bottled. Cloudy gold pour white head. Leads with grass but blends into caramel malts. Pretty good.

Bottle. Dark, clear, gold in color with a medium head. Aroma is bread and grains. Taste is well balanced with a malty sweetness up front and a slightly bitter finish.

bottle - Hazy gold pour, bready, grainy, vaguely fruity aroma. Bready malt flavor with mild bitterness that balances well. Light to medium bodied. Solid beer.

Refrigerated 0.5 L brown bottle poured into a glass. Cloudy light orange with little head. Aroma is caramel malt, medium/light body, lower carbonation, and very little lacing. Taste is caramel and some herbal hops.

Hazy dark golden color with a fine off white head. Ok lacing. Malty and a bit herbal aroma. Medium (+) body. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Malty, some toffee and herbal flavor. Decent ok beer. But probably nothing I will drink again. Cool label. Probably the reason I bought it.

500 ml bottle purchased at Carl’s Meat Market. Clear gold color with an amber type hue in a mug. Fast dying head on a vigorous pour. The aroma is corn stalks, grain and traces of lager yeast. It has an overall malt sweetness that also displays the light corn husk and lager yeast in the finish of the brew. Very mild bitterness after the sip.
I paid $6.49 USD for this bottle. For the style it is a nicely made brew but I guess I was hoping for a bolder, darker bock. Actually I doubt I will ever remember this.

Leicht hopfiger, hell malziger Beginn. Hell würzig, minimaler Alkohol, etwas steigender Hopfen. Mittelstarke, sich gut einfügende Süße, Holznoten. Vollmundiger Nachgeschmack mit süßlichen Fruchtnoten, weichem bitteren Hopfen und hellmalzigen Holznoten. 10/12/11/12/8/12

I have consumed this a couple times while I lived in Chicago the past year. Finally bought a 500mL just to rate it at the very end of my time. Generally, this beer has an acceptable level of sulpheric aroma and herbal lager. Flavor is strong white malt with similar herbal and sulphur finish. Its a light too thick in flavor, not light and bright as I would like. However, I am not disappointed when I drink this.

500ml bottle. Filtered-looking orange body, but a little haze so who knows. Steady, solid, creamy off-white head. Bready, mild aroma, some earthy noble hop. A pretty tasty Heller Bock. Comes off a little fruitier, in an ale way, than I’d expect from the style. Still has quite a nice amount depth. More boldly hopped than most European examples. I’m a sucker for interesting German styles and variations, so this works for me.
