Didn't have too high of expectations but pretty impressed with the lineup so far. Nice straight old school RIS flavors done well, roasted malt galore. Pretty good even in this heat (but indoors heh).

And life goes on. I had Legion Barrel-Aged years ago, me gusto mucho. Found this 16 oz can of Legion, born-on date of 11/30/21 it says, at the local craft beer shop and latched on immediately. Cooled off and going inside of my Cowtown snifter, there is a dark-as-hades liquid topped by a long lasting head of light tan foam. The scent is heavy with grain, chocolate and bread. The drink is a step up assuredly. Baking chocolate, scorched wheat bread, roasty malts that don't overwhelm, a touch of strawberries and a hefty bitterness concluding. Very full sensation and some nice lacing to look at. Well done.

This has bourbon in the aroma and the flavor. Some oak and vanilla. Moderate roast. This is ok.

12 ounce bottle thanks to Secret Santa crajun! Clear dark brown, moderate creamy tan head, decent retention. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, baker’s chocolate. The taste is roasted malt, soy, chocolate, vanilla, bitter hops. Medium bodied, low carbonation, moderate lingering bitterness.

Bottle at home thanks to Mora2000 for sending impy goodness up north to help with first cold spell. It’s a deep brownish black with small head. Nose is chocolate and malt. Tastes of rich chocolate, roasted malt, raisin bread, molasses, and some espresso. Not too sweet. A fine stout for a Tuesday night/Wednesday morning.

Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours a dark brown with beige head. The aroma is roast, chocolate, wood. Thin mouthfeel with light roast, chocolate, meh.
