6.2% 39DKK at Barley wine. Smokey aroma, great orange gold color with a foamy head. Smokey, malty, floral hop bitterness. Well balanced though the eye doesn’t come through so much. Full body, some ascerbic puckering bitterness in the finish.

Pours really thick and syrupy. Copper colour, thin lacy head. Aroma is a well matched fight between smokey malt and fruity hop. Caramel sweetness. Strong hops and smoke in the end.

Sample at Haand 2013. Golden-orange colour with an off-white head. Aroma is smoked, malt, hop. Flavour is sweet, smoked, malt, hop, fruit. Medium to full body. Nice beer.

Bottle at home 27th July 2013. Some pine and citrus, a little smoke, drinkable, tasty and unusual, but I think I liked the sound of it better than the taste.

Cloudy orange color with small off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, citrusy hops, rye, smoke. Malty body, fruity hops with tropical fruits, grapefruit zest, resin, light smoke. Long hoppy finish. Good.

Small white head. Clear amber body. Smoky resiny tropical fruit aroma with wine grape and spice notes. Dry-sweet smoky spicy gooseberry taste wth medicinal notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish tropical fruit and smoke aftertaste with grainy mineraly notes. Nice, unusual, drinkable. (0.15l draft at Haand 13.)

Bouteille 33cl, BB 03/2014. Orangé léger, col épais beige. Arôme est légèrement fumé quoique en retrait, fruité orangé subtile venant des houblons. Palais est ici aussi fumé léger, profil reste épais voire quais huileux. Note de grains avec le seigle laissant ce profil typique de grains donnant ce côté épicé qu’on lui reconnaît.. Le fumé reste un peu trop en retrait.

Bottle @ brewery, RBESG. Hazy orange colour, white head. Nose is lots of smoke, bit of peat. Flavour is peaty, light malted, some light citrus tones. Well drinkable.

Amber golden colour, white head. Aroma of smoke, ash, hops, malts, light vanilla tones. Smoky flavour, ham, red berries, hops and nuts. Quite subtle. Finish smoke and bitter hops.

Draught @ Haand Ølfestival 2013
Pours hazy orange with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, rye, smoke, citrus and grape. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long bitter and smoked finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
