In the quest for the perfect hoppy ale, we created The Big DIPA. A whopping five pounds of hops per barrel provide a wallop of the flavors and aromas you love. Behind all this hoppy goodness is a grain bill strong enough to support this big blend of Zeus, Simcoe, Centennial, Cascade, and Chinook hops.

Can: pours copper with off white head. Aroma is malty, piny, and lightly fruity. Malty and fairly bitter. Hearkens back to old times.

Old-school DIPA, thick and resinous, balancing the waves of citrus and pine with a deep caramel base. Refreshingly un-juicy. Good pint.

Thanks to Rogueone for sharing a can. Slightly hazy bronze color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Partial rings of lace. Aroma of piney hops, citrus and malt. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, citrus and biscuit malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draft: Poured a rusty copper color. Huge citrus hops aroma that engulfed my nose. Nice meld of hops bitterness and caramel malt. Harsh enough, but very drinkable the same.

At Capital Brew fest.
This was poured into a mini snifter.
The appearance was a semi - hazy golden orange to red color with a decent stringy lacing sliding right on into the beer.
The smell started off with a fairly decent caramel malt that had a nice rolling citrus sweetness stringing itself in a grapefruit and grassy graininess.
The taste was basically the same and added a fairly decent piney - ness.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was substantial but not overbearing. There was a decent harshness but nothing overbearing.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good DIPA I could have again. Denali, Juneau doesn’t bite, please send this to us again, I would be happy to buy this at my local Growler station.

Draught at The Beer Junction, Seattle
Amber color with creamy head. Caramel and hop aroma, some animal, dog, with a light impression of berries. Malt and caramel flavor, with light residual sweetness; the hops are quite resiny; but there is a heterogeneous fruity note of berries.
Not cohesive.
