Aroma of malt, caramel, sweet dried fruit, apricots, some vanilla, wood, bourbon, herbal notes. Flavour is moderate sweet with a hint of sourness and a light bittersweet finish. Slightly boozy, but also relatively easily drinkable. Quite delicious Barley Wine.

Tap at Winterbierfestival. Gouda: Heavy brew thats not black but amber. With a taste of fruits, Bourbon vanilla, spices and slightly roasted malts.

Bottle nr 17 from the brewery, then forgotten in my basement. Ruby red beer, aroma is light taet, bourbon. Taste is bourbon, wood, malt, light sweet, light sourish, long dry wood bourbon aftertaste. Interesting.

Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het is een helder lichtrood bier met een dunne beige schuimkraag. Het aroma is moutig en wat alcoholachtig. De smaak is moutig, kruidig en wat houtig.

Sample from tap @ the brewery. Amber color. Herbal aroma (cardemon, anis) with oaky notes. Medium to full bodied. Boozy and alcoholic, herbal, some dried fruit. Hints of bourbon overshadowed by strong herbal notes. Good already, but needs more time to fully develop. Bottle. Amber color. Dried fruit, bourbon and parsnip in the aroma. Less pronounced herbal as the non barrel aged version. Malty sweet, boozy bourbon flavor with soft herbal notes. Parsnip and cinnamon in the finish.

Fun to have. Solid but standard barleywine. Sweet, some good bitterness, malty, good mouthfeel. Barrel ageing maybe a tad too much whiskey and not enough barrel. Could be more complex. Very tasty, just a tad boring.

Bottle 375ml. [ As Bronckhorster Terra Incognita BA ].Clear light medium amber orange colour with a small, open and fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, wood, resin. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, sweet malt, sugary, resin, woody - oaky, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. IMO. the barrel did not look to do any good to the beer at all ! [20170929] 5-3-6-3-8

Bottle at Modeste 2017. Pours darker, clear amber. Small white head. Smell is full, sharp, bit buttery. Taste is full, sharp, grainy, sweet ( overly sweet ) buttery. not convinced.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Hazy orange with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity and light sour. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Sweet and rather bitter finish with a light sour edge. 290917
