Hop Kitchen Series #6.

We teamed up with our hometown hop heroes at Odell to brew a FOrt COllins collaboration. Our proximity allowed sharing of ingredients to create this unique Pale Ale. If only we could employ prairie dogs that in habit the space between us to courier the Fawcett malt, an Odell standard, we used to complement our favored Centennial, Cascade and Citra hops. Best enjoyed with a neighbor!

Bomber. Pours a clear copper/amber in color. Big off-white head leaves a ton of lacing. Aroma is earthy, citrus hops, a bit of sweet malt. Taste is a bit sweet with caramel malts, tropical fruits, citrus, and pine. Very well balanced pale ale that is much closer to an IPA. I’m friggin’ loving this @ $1.99 a bottle!

Draft @ NB Hub in DIA. Darker copper pour with a creamy sandy head. Nose is lively with citrus and pine... smells great. I love seeing the strong pine and citrus flavor in a pale ale. Good flavors, even a little herbal note I associate with tea. Clean finish. Very good stuff.

From bomber to pint glass. Clear copper with full white head that webs down the glass. Aroma is predominately malt. Slight citrus hops. Flavor is more balanced with lemon and tropical fruit hops coming out.

Draft pour at Brouwers. Pours a dark copper with a sweet caramel aroma. Caramel and orange flavors. Pretty sweet overall. Slightly bitter, long finish. Not your typical pale ale that’s for sure. Very unique. Good stuff.

Mild wood aroma. Crystal clear copper, thin head. Oak flavor, not strong. Medium body, soft carbonation. No off flavors, but lacks intensity. Sessionable, but too tame.
