Hop Kitchen Series #6.

We teamed up with our hometown hop heroes at Odell to brew a FOrt COllins collaboration. Our proximity allowed sharing of ingredients to create this unique Pale Ale. If only we could employ prairie dogs that in habit the space between us to courier the Fawcett malt, an Odell standard, we used to complement our favored Centennial, Cascade and Citra hops. Best enjoyed with a neighbor!

Tap at SIdedoor. Deepish amber-brown body. Steady thick beige head. The citra gives it a touch of the new, but otherwise this is a straightforward IPA of ten years back. Thick malt tones, some brown ale-like caramel, nutty tendencies. Pleasant NW hops, but overall a little uninspired. OK. Touch of amber malt?

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of earthy grass with a bit of light pine backed by earthy grains and biscuit. Flavor has more resinous pine with earthy grass, earthy biscuit and earthy biscuit coming through.

Bottle from Legacy Liquor, Vancouver
Beautiful color, copper and amber, bright, hazy, with small head. Nice aroma, the hops are citrusy and piney, there are also some cereals. Dry mouthfeel; it has a hint of caramel and grains, but the flavor is not developed much; the bitterness is regularly high, but the hop provides just a hay feeling.
Good beer, quite clean; I prefer fruitier ones though.

Bottle: Poured a coppery amber with a two finger off white head. Aroma is nice fresh hops and earth tones. Very nice mix of hops and malts, some tingle to the tongue.
