Slightly hazy copper coloured body with a bit of a bronze glow and a nice, two centimetre tall creamy tan head. Aroma of bright fresh grapefruity, piney and resinous hops with a bunch of alcohol and some lighter apricot and fruit sweetness. Medium-bodied; Strong biting pine and grapefruity hop flavours with a ton of sweetness from honey and fruit with a very nice malt backbone and a little alcohol bite on the end. Aftertaste shows a ton of two things - hops and fruit sugars, but the both work very well. Overall, a very nice Imperial IPA with a good dose of hops, plentiful, but not overpowering sweetness and a good body without being way too strong and pungent. Definitely worth trying if you can find this! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Brown Jug (Old Seward) in Anchorage, Alaska on 26-May-2013 for US$8.99 sampled at home in Washington on 21-July-2013.

22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy copper golden with a small white head. Aroma exudes loads of herbal hops and some tropical fruits (passionfruit). Flavour brings out passionfruit, muted spicy herbal hops, and some biscuity malt. Fairly odd flavour profile, seeming quite dank and dusty. Not the most well-executed IIPA, but not problematic in any way. Decent stuff.

Bomber from Nugget in Davis, CA. Pours translucent light amber with a slight off-white head. Aromas of cat pee, floral, resin, caramel. Not harsh. Med + body. Flavor is cat pee, floral, resin, caramel, and the hop is just a tad harsh. We are talking typical NW here - would say overkill, but there just can’t be too much hop. Finishes bitter and very hoppy. Another brilliant ale from MSB.

22 ounce bottle from John’s Marketplace. Pours a clear copper color with a large white head. A great fruity nose with some resin. Big smooth fruit, some resin, crystal malts, smooth, clean and easygoing. Very nice.

On tap at Harry’s Hoffbrau in The RC. Aroma of orange and lemon. Slight grapefruit and melon. Pours a slightly hazy orange with white head ringing the glass. Taste is blend of citrus and horse blanket. The same dank taste I always get from Citra. Solid bitterness that marries well with the hops and alcohol.

Bottle @ Stephen’s house courtesy of arminjewell. Thanks! Pours a clear, golden orange appearance with a bubbly white head. Grapefruity, a bit citrus juicy hoppy, soft, sweet malty aroma. A bit strong, slightly boozy, light carbonation, somewhat juicy flavor. Flavor is a bit faded. Average at least at this point.
