With a blend of two-row caramel malt and four types of domestic hops, Budweiser Black Crown is finished on a bed of Beechwood chips for a smooth, balanced taste. Incorporating the proprietary yeast directly descended from the original Budweiser yeast strain used by Adolphus Busch in 1876, Budweiser Black Crown retains the key characteristics of Budweiser with its clean taste and high drinkability. Featuring more body, color and hop character than the flagship lager, it also has a slightly higher alcohol content at 6% ABV.

Bottle. Light floral malt aroma. Golden yellow/light amber with giant off-white head. Mildly sweet corn malt flavor. More body than typical Bud. Iโm not really getting much hops - possibly a little in the finish (which would indeed match the description). Non-offensive.

Originally rated as "Budweiser Project Twelve - Batch 91406 (Los Angeles)" before AB retitled it Black Crown. 12 oz bottle from the variety pack. So this is Budweiser Black Crown, then, I guess. Pours clear copper with a quickly collapsing cream-colored head. Aroma is woody, doughy bread, minerally. Taste is sweet all around (not cloying). Some faintly bitter hops peak through in the finish, but theyโre definitely not prominent. Body is thin, carbonation high, but low compared to regular Bud. Better than the St. Louis, and loads better than regular Budweiser, but still pretty dull.
