Bottle: Poured a orangish brown with a huge off white to beige head. Aroma is super hoppy and some dough. Taste is a gritty hops with some malts. How the hell can they last for this long, I expected some mellowing.

Bottle at the Funky 6. Pours hazy amber with a medium, off-white head. Hoppy aroma with grapefruit and resin, along with some caramel and bread malts. Nice and sweet with caramel malt character, followed by strong, citrus bitterness. Medium to full in body with average carbonation. Finishes bitter with more grapefruit and some pleasing alcohol warmth. Very good.

My 1400th rating. Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. I love Imperial Reds. Pours with a large, foamy, light brown head with great lacing and full retention. Underneath sits a hazy brown body with red highlights. Aroma of brown sugar, berries, toffee, Belgian sugar, and a really nice hop profile of Simcoe and some sort of C-hop. Slight fruity ester as well. Hop profile is amazing on the taste, with grapefruit and pine and a nice, strong caramel back bone. Creamy mouthfeel and light carbonation. Great beer from one of my favorite styles.

bottle at Ft Wayne locals tasting courtesy of jsquire - Pours deep copper and smells very fruity with citrus and grape notes showing. It has a big citrus hop flavor and now I’m thinking the darker fruit note is more like cherries. Interesting. It’s medium bodied and rather bubbly on the palate. Good stuff.
