Full graceful tenderness, with a clean and neat taste, this beer will enchant you: matured in the bottle, exclusively obtained from pale malt, highly fermented and 100% natural. With a full-bodied flavor that still works thirst quenching, thanks to a balanced hopping.

I’m sampling a 33 cl bottle that I recall coming from a Belgian retailer. A late summer afternoon, cooling off slightly, it is a good day for a tripel. Tilting into my ABGB snifter I determine a straw yellow body, a glorious snow white head and vigorous, I mean strong carbonation. The scent is nice, peach, apricot, clover and hay. A drink, really nice. Yellow fruit all over again, yellow raisin, yeast, some breadiness, just the right touch of sweetness and the barest bitterness. Top rate stuff.

Malty, raisinny aroma. Sweet, malty, raisinny, peppery taste. Long peppery bitter finish. From the bottle it has a flowery, honeyish aroma. Tap: unfiltered. Cafe Morshuis Albergen. Lemonaroma, initial lemon and vanilla flavor. After that loads of hops. Strong long lasting hoppy aftertaste. The 9% ABV is not noticed at all. Pity the beer was served too cold. Bottle, 3 years old: Vinous aroma with remaining flowery hops and orange. Fusel alcohols in the flavor, that is becoming like old brandy. Vinous, notes of sherry. Alcoholic, but still satisfyingly balanced. Nice!

Draft at Bittercreek. Somehow missed this during my time in Europe. Light milky yellow body with a big whiff of Belgian yeast. Taste is yeast, butter, herbal hops. Medium weight and a bit of a bitter finish. Classic

Bottle. Hazy gold, luxuriant white head that lasts well. Aroma of sweet dough, vanilla, coriander, white pepper. Creamy texture, quite fizzy. Candied lemon, dough. Rich and sweet, but the sweetness is tempered by spices, bitterness and a touch of alcohol. Not magic but quality.
